LOL...it did appear he was checking his frequency at the debate where he was asked about water boarding, now that you mention it :) Most awkward pause/gear change in a debate answer, I’ve ever seen.
I’ve always disliked the cantor or rhythm of his speech.
First, he talks way to slow
Second, his pauses drive me up the wall.
I keep looking for the Fast Forward button.
