HMM. That’s a tough one. Maybe because the ones that ‘applaud everything’ are maniacs?
I know I don’t applaud much of anything DT says.
But I do take issue with detractors that disparage everything he says.
What politician, R or D has a record of delivering on all his/her promises? Or are they nuanced or misunderstood, or the circumstances changed, or we need HofR, or we need the senate, or we need the pres., or the press will be against us........
I’m a Trump supporter and yet I have some problems with Trump. But I see him as the best man for the job right now.
Is there ANY political candidate that is perfect? Of course not and those who think they are are part of the problem - clinically dysfunctional “all or nothing” thinking - baby/preadolescent stuff.
Certain people here at FR and elsewhere need to realize that you’re about to agree to pay that candidate to have a lot of power, or potential power, over you. Voting for a political candidate is like making a treaty with a potentially dangerous country. You vet them, you see where the agreement does more good than harm, and then you vote/sign the treaty. But you do it with your EYES OPEN and you TRUST BUT VERIFY. If the country or the candidate violate the agreement and your trust, you rescind the treaty and you THROW THE BUM OUT the next election if not before.
