Sounded to me like he was telling anyone interested in a story to go after his donations to vet organizations.
I think what Romney did is highly actionable by Trump.
He started out wondering about the back tax returns for a few years for Trump, Cruz and Rubio.
At 4:25, he discuss a SPECIFIC problem with donations to veterans on only TRUMP’S tax return, then later mentions DISABLED veterans.
Romney thus was either shown the return in question or was told about it by someone who saw it. Otherwise, why mention such a specific area of taxes as the bombshell?
The problem is, these are both highly illegal actions, as tax returns are confidential unless released to the public by the taxpayer.
Romney then tried to cover his tracks a little, by saying we should see the returns for all three Rubio, Trump, and Cruz, but the cat was out of the bag already.
When Harry Reid schlonged Romney on his taxes in 2012, it was illegal and unethical, but Reid was protected because of his location—the well of the Senate—where speech is all protected.
Romney made his allegations in public over a national news network, which is highly actionable.
Trump’s legal staff knows what to do.
Romney will wish he kept his fat mouth shut.
