On what planet is this “pretends to be good at business?”
Trump is not remotely worth billions. Best estimates are in the low 100 millions.
To the extent he has money, it’s from fleecing investors.
But assuming (for argument’s sake) his claimed net worth of $4 billion is real, he’s done a piss-poor job.
If he had simply put his $400,000,000 inheritance in an indexed mutual fund he’d have way more money than even his current fanciful claims — $13 billion, specifically.

Other billionaires’ net worths have beaten the stock market’s growth in that time. Bill Gates, for example, saw his grow increase 7,173% since 1988 to $80 billion. Warren Buffet’s wealth grew 2,612% in the same time period, to $67.8 billion.
