Donald Trump on Tuesday called his GOP presidential rival Ted Cruz “a baby†as he dug in on his attacks against the Texas senator, one day after calling Cruz “sick.â€
“I’ve met much tougher people than Ted Cruz. He is like a baby compared to some of the people I have to deal with. He is like a little baby: soft, weak, little baby by comparison,†Trump said at a campaign rally in Sparks, Nevada, after slamming Cruz yet again as “the single biggest liar I have ever dealt with.â€
Trump later added, “I’d like to really win in Texas. Wouldn’t that be great? I love Texas. I love Texas. And I think now that (Cruz) has exposed himself as a nasty person who lies a lot, I think he’s going to go way, way down in Texas. So I think we have a shot in Texas.â€
A message left with the Cruz campaign seeking comment was not immediately returned.
Trump has leveled an unrelenting barrage of personal attacks against Cruz, calling him everything from “unstable†to a “basket case†and accusing him of lying while also touting the Bible.
The attacks come as Cruz and his allies have laid into Trump’s stances on a number of issues important to conservatives, from Trump’s use of eminent domain laws for personal gain to the New York billionaire’s past support of abortion rights and additional gun control measures.
Trump has since changed his positions on abortion and gun rights.
And while Cruz’s ads use Trump’s own words against him, Trump has accused him of playing dirty.
The latest attack is reminiscent of Trump’s line of attack against former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, whom Trump branded as “low energy†over months of campaigning.
But with Bush now out of the race, Trump is looking for space to fill in his stump speech, which previously included multiple references to Bush’s “weak†nature — an effective foil for Trump’s brashness on the campaign trail.
He hinted at a potential target on Tuesday when he said “Marco Rubio is a nice young man.â€
“He hasn’t hit me. No, no, no, he has not hit me. When he hits me, ugh, is he going to be hit. Actually, I can’t wait,†Trump said. “I hope he does (get nasty) because it’s more fun.â€

This is what I have learned from the Trump supporters on FreeRepublic this election cycle....
1.) One can be too Christian and people look stupid praying.
2.) MSNBC, CNN, NBC and CBS are the "fair" news outlets. FOX is no good.
3.) Rush, Levin and Thomas Sowell are RINOs
4.) Swearing in front of women and children is hilarious and the sign of a true leader.
5.) 65 year old men can completely change all of their basic moral and ethical beliefs overnight.
I don't think it is too far of a stretch to think that in 2017, McConnell and Ryan will be the new heros of conservatism while nutjobs like Cruz will be put in their "bible banging", "snake handling" places.

I highly doubt that. That, as Trump would say, would be peanuts. He probably figures that he has another 10 to 20 good years left, what’s left to do? Make America great again for the future generations.
Trumpies have never been the least bit curious about Trumps’s pre run meeting with Bill Clinton...

I wouldn’t talk about running to a “safe” space if I was you tRumpsters, since you appear to have one right here on FR. It’s called the supposed tRump “Rally Thread” in which only tRump butt kissers are allowed to post. You all run to it when people are being mean to you.
So if Cruz doesn’t win then he can do some other job or run again in the future. Have no fear his IQ and hard work ethic will take care of him and his family.
But that does not answer the question what is wrong with a guy who can only repeat grade=school name calling on a public debate stage or in front of thousands of voters? How about debating or discussing policies and sounding like you have a brain?
How about you go to work today and start calling the people you work with names and calling them liars and calling them babies etc? How long will you last?? After your boss has your head examined, he will give you the pink slip and be glad you are gone.

Gawd, but he is ugly. Inside and out, unfortunately. I could deal with just the ugly outside. But it’s fast becoming apparent that...as each day goes by and as he opens his piehole and shows his @ass more and more blatantly...
I probably won’t be able to hold my nose and vote for this cretin...no matter how critical this election is.

Here’s what I have learned. It’s okay if a Canadian wants to be president if he is a conservative, lying is good, anyone who does note vote Cruz is the devil, Goldman expects nothing and Heidi is a regular housewife. Oh, and Beck makes sense!

At this point, after months of listening to Trump, I don’t really buy what he ‘s selling. I still have yet to hear how he plans to make Mexico pay for that wall. Nope, I don’t see the sense in going thru all the expense of deporting millions, only to then allow the good ones to return.
IMO, he saw the scam the Clintons were running and thinks he can make it work too (and better).
I would say about 100 people on FR will not vote Trump in the general. 100,000 will, however.
They talk a big game, but in the end they are ALWAYS GOP. Just takes a little time to see it.
