Donald Trump on Tuesday called his GOP presidential rival Ted Cruz âa babyâ as he dug in on his attacks against the Texas senator, one day after calling Cruz âsick.â
âIâve met much tougher people than Ted Cruz. He is like a baby compared to some of the people I have to deal with. He is like a little baby: soft, weak, little baby by comparison,â Trump said at a campaign rally in Sparks, Nevada, after slamming Cruz yet again as âthe single biggest liar I have ever dealt with.â
Trump later added, âIâd like to really win in Texas. Wouldnât that be great? I love Texas. I love Texas. And I think now that (Cruz) has exposed himself as a nasty person who lies a lot, I think heâs going to go way, way down in Texas. So I think we have a shot in Texas.â
A message left with the Cruz campaign seeking comment was not immediately returned.
Trump has leveled an unrelenting barrage of personal attacks against Cruz, calling him everything from âunstableâ to a âbasket caseâ and accusing him of lying while also touting the Bible.
The attacks come as Cruz and his allies have laid into Trumpâs stances on a number of issues important to conservatives, from Trumpâs use of eminent domain laws for personal gain to the New York billionaireâs past support of abortion rights and additional gun control measures.
Trump has since changed his positions on abortion and gun rights.
And while Cruzâs ads use Trumpâs own words against him, Trump has accused him of playing dirty.
The latest attack is reminiscent of Trumpâs line of attack against former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, whom Trump branded as âlow energyâ over months of campaigning.
But with Bush now out of the race, Trump is looking for space to fill in his stump speech, which previously included multiple references to Bushâs âweakâ nature â an effective foil for Trumpâs brashness on the campaign trail.
He hinted at a potential target on Tuesday when he said âMarco Rubio is a nice young man.â
âHe hasnât hit me. No, no, no, he has not hit me. When he hits me, ugh, is he going to be hit. Actually, I canât wait,â Trump said. âI hope he does (get nasty) because itâs more fun.â
I believe he is, and have for a very long time.
all paid agitators
#82 I took his Orange base color into consideration. So I guess he would actually turn purple.
Trump is disgusting.
That said, Trump is repeatedly demonstrating that he lacks the decorum and even the wisdom to be the President that this country needs. Instead we are getting the President that we deserve to have, after decades of progressively settling for less and less. We wanted to win more than we wanted wise leadership.
Trump will win this November. Of that there is little doubt. But we may come to regret that.
Trump will need to work with Cruz if he gets elected.
""No he won't. He has already said he will work with the Republican leadership in the Senate, unlike Cruz. On the off chance that he doesn't get destroyed by Hillary as all of the polls are indicating, he will be working AGAINST Cruz to further the McConnell/Ryan agenda""""....
Good job Nitzy
Soros already owns Trump.
[... and some day you CRUZ haters will decry the day you started stoning him!!!! Count on it!!!]
Some of them will, but many of them are liberal trolls. That’s why they HATE Senator Cruz and want to destroy him completely.
Can’t wait for Cruz to be the vote that convicts Trump of high crimes and misdemeanors. It will happen.
Free Republic needs to be very aware of this and consider what to do about it, many have already left.
I sincerely wished I was born in another era.
Don’t bet on that. The money and brains are in the private sector.
I saw that part of the rally, I have seen it in other rallies, too. The thing is there is a ;) that you miss when you hear it on the radio or just read about it. The people at the rallies get it and laugh along with Trump. But the message is clear: If anyone hits Trump he will hit back hard. Furthermore, the message is as president he will fight anyone opposing the best interests of the people.
Nothing has changed much...1983 NYT...
"His alternating skills of charming some individuals and riding roughshod over others has earned Donald Trump a reputation in some quarters as someone not to be trusted. He reneged, for example, on a promise to donate to a museum the Art Deco bas- reliefs on the facade of Bonwit Teller's - bulldozed to make way for Trump Tower. It was a sin deemed unforgivable by landmark preservationists. But the only negative comments about Donald Trump these days are given off the record."

No he doesn't, but his audience and supporters do. Courtesy of our new fangled Education System.
lol...you gotta love Trump!!!
We may also not regret that.
Does he ever talk about issues?
In Donalds case is would be called Delusional Grandeur
WIKI
Delusional Grandeur characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent, wealthy, or otherwise very powerful.
Delusions of grandeur are a subtype of delusion that occur in patients suffering from a wide range of mental illnesses, including two-thirds of patients in manic state of bipolar disorder, half of those with schizophrenia.
I haven’t seen him defend anything but his own interests as in giving money to Schumer, Clinton, and Reid. Trump has already sold out America. Being President only makes the prize larger.
