Massachusetts voters must stop Donald Trump
Boston Globe ^ | February 22, 2016 | Staff

STOPPING DONALD J. TRUMP is imperative — and not just for his fellow Republicans. In Massachusetts, which votes next Tuesday, unenrolled voters may also vote in the GOP presidential primary. The Globe has endorsed John Kasich, the highly qualified governor of Ohio, and urges unenrolled voters to cast a Republican ballot for him instead of voting in the Democratic primary on the same day.

The Democratic race features two credible candidates, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. For registered Democrats, who cannot take a GOP ballot, Clinton is the better choice. But for everyone else, the GOP primary is where their vote can really make the biggest difference.

Glad the Globe is unbiased, if not they’d be supporting Bernie

They could put him in a car and roll it into the Chappaquiddick.

Here’s an anecdote.

I was at a Stop & Shop in a south bay suburb of Boston getting some groceries and the guy doing the bagging was telling me - without me bringing up politics - how much he wanted Trump to win.

There are a _lot_ of people out there who know the game is rigged and want somebody who is going to “throw the bums out”. The Donald is the guy that is best positioned to do it. Think of him as a modern day Teddy Roosevelt - the establishment at that time thought he was a maniac.

You need to be careful, you’re going to have a nervous breakdown. Take a few days away from FR and get some rest...

Trump does well in all liberal progressive states like Massachusetts South Carolina North Carolina Alabama Georgia and Virginia.

Just wait until he wins that communist stronghold Texas.

This is astonishing.
I’m not expecting a win in General for MA but its clear Boston MSM are scared.
Its possible Maine as well as NH are in play.

Wonder what the increase of votes will be this year compared to 2012?

Because it's a liberal/progressive state. Trump is their kind of "Republican"

Trying to follow your logic here.

This liberal/progressive publication runs a panicked editorial begging liberal/progressives to vote AGAINST Trump. They're clearly desperate to stop him.

A poster explains that Trump has a large number of supporters in the state.

Your response to Trump's popularity is that the only reason Trump has so many supporters there is because he's a lib/prog.

So ... explain the editorial.

If he's "their kind of 'Republican,'" why are they trying to get their kind of voters to vote against their kind of "Republican"??

the slandering of some states

Exactly. It's absurd. If you're for Cruz you apparently must despise New York, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and now Massachusetts. And that's just for starters.

The way it's going, for Cruz supporters the only "good" state in the U.S. will be Iowa.

I hope they all move there.

Trump is to the left of Romney.

They like Kasich because he expanded Medicaid.

Like the Trump supporters, the Globe is listening to his bombast and not his record. He is a demonstrated “Progressive” in many ways.

Who is Donald Trump?

A man who has had 3 marriages, 4 bankruptcies, and 6 changes of party registration, who boasts about his many conquests and affairs, some with married women, whose wife has published nude pictures?

A guy who’s gotten into public fights with Ted Cruz, George W. Bush, and the Pope, then backed down on all of them like the coward and wimp that he is.

Trump supported TARP and 0bama’s stimulus.

He was talking about giving illegals a path as recently as August and has supported a plan that is virtually identical to “touchback” amnesty.

He supports using eminent domain for private gain instead of public use.

His buildings have been built by illegal immigrant labor.

He supported radical Democrat mayor Bill (Warren Wilhelm) DeBlasio. (One of many Democrats he has supported.)

He called self-deportation ridiculous and offensive.

He has donated much more money to Democrats than Republicans.

In the first Republican debate last year, he praised socialized medicine; he now says he’ll cover everyone and “the government will pay for it” and if you don’t agree, you’re heartless.

He boosted his liberal pro-abort sister as an excellent choice for the Supreme Court.

He attacked Scalia for a ruling on affirmative action.

He called Pat Buchanan a “Hitler lover.”

He boasts about his many affairs, some with married women.

He threatens to sue people for disagreeing with him.

He says he’ll revoke 0bama’s executive orders (a promise stolen from Cruz), but “I’ll do good ones.” (IOW, “pen and phone” government will remain with us.)

He called Ben Carson a “psycopath” and a “child molester” and questioned Dr. Carson’s faith AND his personal history. He also questioned Ted Cruz’s faith. Then he got upset (rightfully) when the Pope questioned his faith.

He called Cruz a “maniac.”

Meanwhile, sitting with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, Trump blathered incoherent, solipsistic nonsense and even admitted (perhaps in a confused moment) that he supported the retention of the 0bamacare mandate.

The liberals can deal with Trump. He’s malleable. He says he can deal with Pelosi and Reid. Cruz will fight them tooth and nail and move the window in our direction as far as he can.

Trump is their kind of Republican.

Massachusetts has unleashed on the rest of us the three most destructive entities in American history: Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Goodridge v. Department of Public Health. Three strikes and you’re out, Massachusetts. Sell yourselves back to the Indians, who have far better sense than you do.
