Do you live in SC?

I do, and am very familiar with SC politics. That is not what happened. Trump had overwhelming support in this state in all voter categories.

It had nothing to do with it being an open primary state. He had the majority of the Republican voter support

Thank you for your insight.
There have been Cruz people on here claiming Trump got 24% Dem votes.

Liberal South Carolina? Some people are just crazy. South Carolina is probably the most Republican state in the Union.

From Wikipedia: "The South Carolina Republican Party controls all nine of the nine statewide offices and holds large majorities in the South Carolina Senate and the South Carolina House of Representatives. Republicans also hold both of the state's U.S. Senate seats and six of the state's seven U.S. House of Representatives seats."

Th lone Democrat office holder of any note is James Clyburn who represents some gerrymandered majority black district.

So can we PLEASE dispel with this notion that South Carolina is the Massachusetts of the South?

So I think many would like us to believe, but surely we can find out for certain?

Is there not a list of voters who voted in the primary? Can we not see how many Democrats are included?

32% isn't overwhelming and it's a plurality not a majority.

It’s called being a leader, the alpha dog. SC likes leaders, not wimps.
