You can discount the data for whatever reason. You may even think that Trump really didn't win the popular vote by 75,000 votes over his nearest competitor. You seem to have a hard time accepting reality.

I have no doubt that he did. I just don't think the "Popular vote" is within the scope of a primary. A primary is intended to select a party's preferred candidate, and it is supposed to exclude the opinions of Democrats and Independents.
I've repeatedly said Trump would win the General election, but that is not the point here. The Republican party is supposed to nominate based on Republican Party members opinions, and no one else.
Don't get me wrong, I can live with Trump, but I don't see him as the most conservative candidate in the Race.
If he wins, I will cheer him when he fixes the border and stops Muslim immigration, but I will boo him when he nominates a Moderate or Liberal to sit on the Federal Bench.
