Cruz Campaign Apologizes to Marco Rubio for Spreading False Bible Story
Breitbart ^ | 2/22/2016 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 02/22/2016 6:02:54 AM PST by BlackFemaleArmyColonel

Rick Tyler, the Senior Communications Advisor for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), issued a public apology after spreading a false story reporting that Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) made a nasty comment to a Cruz staffer about the Bible.

"I want to apologize to Senator Marco Rubio for posting an inaccurate story about him here earlier today," Tyler wrote on Facebook after sharing the false story online. "The story misquoted a remark the Senator made to the staffer. I assumed wrongly that the story was correct."

The false report indicated that Rubio said that there were "not many answers" in the Bible -- when in fact, Rubio commented that "all the answers" were in the book of scripture.

Tyler indicated that he communicated with the Cruz staffer in the video, who explained that Rubio had made a "friendly and appropriate remark" about the Bible.

"Since the audio was unclear, I should not have assumed the story was correct," Tyler wrote. "I've deleted the post because I would not knowingly post a false story. But the fact remains that I did post it when I should have checked its accuracy first. I regret the mistake."

Well at least this proves he isn’t tied to his past investments, defusing one objection to Trump.

The methodology is deceptively simple: to focus in on his best understanding of what the American people view as bringing greatness to America, and then to pursue it with verve and confidence. Now this is an ongoing process and yes there are going to be changes in the draft, sometimes drastic changes. Really, it’s hard to please some people. Too flexible and they are accused of waffling; too rigid and they are accused of not listening.

True, the Cruz campaign = lies, as the Bush campaign = low energy.

Where Was Donald Trump During the Immigration Fight? Advocating Amnesty

"You know, the truth is I have a lot of illegals working for me in Miami'" he told them, using the term for undocumented immigrants those in the meeting found offensive. "You know in Miami, my golf course is tended by all these Hispanics - if it wasn't for them my lawn wouldn't be the lawn it is; it's the best lawn'" Pacheco recalled Trump saying.

Two years ago, Trump met with immigration activists (DREAMers) who told them their stories and asked for his support on immigration. "You convinced me," Trump said as the meeting ended.

“Well at least this proves he isn’t tied to his past investments, defusing one objection to Trump.”

Does it really? Or is he playing the good marketer/entertainer and simply telling the audience what they want to hear.

“The methodology is deceptively simple: to focus in on his best understanding of what the American people view as bringing greatness to America, and then to pursue it with verve and confidence”

The same could be said of ANY candidate. For me the key questions on any candidate is; Does he have core beliefs? Has he lived his life according to those beliefs? Are those beliefs something I can live with?

I believe Trump does have core beliefs and has lived his life according to those beliefs. I don’t see any reason to believe he’s changed his beliefs.

Idolatry

When an interviewer recently called Lady Gaga the "Billy Graham of pop," she claimed,

"I'm teaching people to worship themselves."

http://www.christianitytoday.com/women/2011/may/lady-gaga-wheres-outrage.html

Rom 1:25-27
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

My point is not that Trump has no virtues or even that he isn’t the most plausible candidate running... it’s that he’s worldly.

This is the way the world tends to operate, with bigger dogs ordering around smaller dogs. And we can see Cruz just drinking those “waters of abundance” (Psalm 73). A Christian shouldn’t be doing that. Here is where Cruz could have been a spiritual breakwater, but he has only managed to be a backwater. As a Christian personally, I’m disappointed to see this. But I also know God has a plan and the follies of humanity will not derail it.

Well, give her props for being honest about it.

I’d sooner deal with an honest pagan any day of the week, than a hypocrite Christian.

Unless he has seen a vision?

I think you want to wedge Trump into a mold made by your own head.

I’ve watched video of Trump presenting his plan. The vibes just come off different to me.

Why can’t you tell us who the ba’al of Egypt was supermouth?

Maybe you’re not as reformed/informed as you pretend to be.

What makes you such a supermouth that this becomes the key to Christ and the bible? That it isn’t very small trivia in the scheme of things?

Some Christians or “Christians” give the devil better publicity than they give God.

Trump has flip-flopped on a lot of stuff... absolutely true

in this instance, the Cruz campaign (including Dad) deliberately slandered a fellow Christian who expressed reverence for the Bible, by putting out something that they knew was false.

that’s disgusting !

Cruz hooked up his campaign to low lifes like Tyler and Roe, and now he reaps the harvest.

Tell us supermouth, was Jesus being a hypocrite when He instructed His disciples to Rebuke those who were living in sin?

Luke 17:1-4

17 Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 So watch yourselves.

"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."
NIV

Typical for those caught in your kind of thinking, take some completely unrelated verse of scripture (no, Jesus was not talking about government affairs) and twist it into an utterly wrong context.

What makes you so shameless, Supermouth hypocrite?
