Trump gave Hillary a slight backhand and she was out for three weeks.

Here's a suggestion...

Trump: "What's up with hillary coughing her guts out on stage?"

Good one AB!

I been pondering all this and once again the Republicans messed up. But there’s an unusual twist.

Here’s my take: The Republicans know that the base is pissed, the base has been pissed since McCain, the base got more pissed with Romney and now the base is nominating a reality show host for God’s sake.

So in knee jerk reaction, Mumbles McConnell comes out right away and says he won’t even let a nominee come up for a vote.

Now this “base” that so scares the elite, the elite think they are a bunch of un-thinking Rubes listening to Rush Limbaugh for God’s sake. They WANT to hear action words, so the elite decided, so tell them we’ll not even VOTE on a presidential Supreme court nominee.

Of course this crazed base that the elite GOP simply do not understand have fine brains and, given just a little time for thought, would probably shrug shoulders and agree to consider Obama nominees. Obama IS the President and the constitution does not state, to the effect, that the president is not to appoint supreme court nominees within a year of an election.

We also now must deal with air between the legs Republicans in the senate who will have to actually vote DOWN Obama’s choice, if justified of course, and defend their vote.

They would rather just not deal with it those bunch of lili-livered turds.....sheesh.

Bah, humbug.

Sandra Day O'C came out and said that Obummer should nominate someone for SCOTUS and IIRC she said the Senate should approve.

It's very sad about her dementia.

If the truth be told, I doubt Trump even knows what the mandate is. He has said hundreds of times that Obamacare must be repealed and replaced. Once you get down in the weeds, he can't compete with Rubio and Cruz who are sitting senators and much more familiar with the legislation. I am alright with Trump's general objective of getting rid of Obamacare and putting something else in its place, i.e. an alternative that has Rep buy-in. Not one Rep voted for Obamacare.

Personally, I discount any of the detailed plans offered by the political class. These "plans" go out the window once Congress and the special interests get a hold of them. Arguing over the details is just like discussing how many angels can fit on the head of a pin.

The reality is that the Dems stand a very good chance of reclaiming the Senate in 2017. The Reps have many more seats at stake. A Dem-controlled Senate will make it difficult for any Rep President to implement his agenda.

It's not about whether Trump can move the message past the hosts. My point is how they've dealt with him since his announcement last summer. All were fawning over him because they saw it as hurting the establishment candidates. And it did. But I believe, even they didn't see Trump being where he is today. So while they fueled the fire last summer and fall, they the fire now had gotten out of control. Rush is the last of the majors to do a full out assault against Trump, although he's been amping it up. I think Monday you'll see even more negative and spinning. Eventually he'll be like he was with McCain in 00 and 08 and Romney in 12, pushing against them. He'll do the same with Trump.

Sure, he won't announce an "endorsement", but there will be a strong push on Cruz primarily and Rubio as sort of a dark horse. But all with deniability. For Rush and the other hosts, Trump has done their dirty work. The just don't know how to turn him off.

But watch, Rush will continue to get uglier and uglier with stories aimed at hurting Trump.

Never mind Talk Radio claims to want to convert people from Marxism to Conservatism...

they believe they are the gatekeepers of Conservatism which is far more important than their careers. They are doing the very thing that destroyed the NYT and liberal media which is amazing to watch their blindness.

Did Rush's debunking this week of "hypocrisy" as an effective political weapon for "conservatives" have a hidden agenda?

True, but unless we substantially reduce legal immigration, the Dems will be the permanent majority party. Why are we taking in 1.1 million legal permanent immigrants a year along with 640,000 guest workers annually while we have the lowest labor participation rates in 38 years. And legal immigrants vote more than two to one Democrat.

They know just what they’re doing. America is made up of immigrants,

No we are not made up of immigrants. 85% of us were born here. And exactly what does it mean when we say we are a nation of immigrants? Almost every nation on earth is made up of immigrants. Even the American Indian is an "immigrant" because they came across the Siberian land bridge to North America.

It infuriates me to hear people say we are a nation of immigrants, which is just a way of saying immigrants are an unalloyed good and the more the better. Since 1990 35 million LEGAL PERMANENT IMMIGRANTS have entered this country or the equivalent of the population of Canada. Immigrants use our welfare system to a much greater degree than the native born. We are importing poverty. They are bankrupting this country. And they are making the Dems the permanent majority party.

Doesn't make your observation any less valid! Our generous immigration policies (including a deliberate blind eye to illegal entry and stay) are hurting the nation and its people.

Yes, and that is why immigration is a winning issue for Trump and the GOP if the Stupid Party ever stops being owned by their corporate paymasters and special interests.

WHOSE VAT Tax?...Not Cruz?

I was going to comment on that, but I just did a little reading on it from taxfoundation.org. It seems they call it a VAT, and differentiate it from a consumption tax. (which I agree with and thought it was)

However, it appears each subsequent business operation can subtract the tax it paid before billing the next level (I think)

I am worried about the Dims taking back the Senate, especially since Chuck E. Schmmer (I can’t get to a camera fast enough) will be Senate Majority or Minority Leader. I think he’ll be as bad or possibly even worse than Reid.

For many people there is no old system. It's gone.

Well, it's alive and well in some socialist countries, like Italy and Canada, they just call it "supplemental insurance". The Canadian Supreme Court ruled "CanadaCare" unConstitutional over a decade ago, as the well-known waiting for treatment was costing lives. The court considered it a human rights violation.

You think employers that gleefully dumped their employees onto the obamacare exchange are going to pick up the health insurance tab again?

They will if the same tax-treatment rules apply as before, and if premiums go back to as low, or lower than they were.

Same goes for the preexisting condition buffet. Those folks are getting "insurance" for treatment.

Since you may not know, that number is about 1% of the insured. You have to be pretty bleeping sick to be considered uninsurable....a guaranteed $100,000 or so per-year claimant.

You can't "high risk pool" that.

Well, in this case it would require a "reinsurance pool" as a temporary fix until the HRPs would take over.

It's welfare, basically.

Well, it is if the government funds the HRP, that's not desirable as the RATs can also de-fund it. If the carriers fund it (and it's in their own best interest to do so) it's called a High Risk Pool. The government merely sets it up.

Americans liked their system and want it back.

I think he can get above 40%:

& in head-to-head matchups with Rubio & Cruz, he also got over 40%, but was 16% down to each of them.

Fix to my earlier post:

So you want to hear more about CRUZ’S planned VAT tax? In essence, CRUZ wants to implement European-style taxes that keep stealthily increasing without notice. VAT taxes only go up and never down. It’s a great way of funding pet projects without having to go through the usual legislation process.

Fixed
