The problem is if Cruz were to leave you’re assuming his voters would suddenly bow down to the guy who has said more positive things about crappy dictators like Putin and Un than he ever did about their candidate. I mean, how stupid must they be to support an unstable illegal alien liar who can’t get along with anyone because no one likes him?
I suspect most Cruz voters are sane enough to realize the stakes at hand and would choose Trump over the alternatives (Rubio, Hillary). Trump at least has the right attitude towards some of the pressing issues of our time (immigration, trade, etc.) and is likely to act decisively on them.
