While Rubio and Cruz shine, Trump continues his clown show
New York Post ^ | February 18, 2016 | John Podhoretz

Two remarkably impressive candidates (and Ben Carson, who’s whatever) made dazzling impressions Wednesday night at CNN’s town hall. Meanwhile, Donald Trump rode in his clown car for an hour on MSNBC.

Marco Rubio staged a master class on reformist conservative policy in one of the most substantive presentations on American politics ever broadcast on television.

For his part, Ted Cruz eloquently staked his claim to the mantle of anti-Establishment conservative confrontationalism and hammered home his arguments against Rubio’s supposed prevarications on immigration and Trump’s ludicrous lawsuit against him for running an attack ad.

Meanwhile, sitting with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, Trump blathered incoherent, solipsistic nonsense and even admitted (at a confused moment) that he supported the retention of ObamaCare.

But hey, guess who’s going to win in South Carolina on Saturday?

As a Trump supporter, I strongly urge all his opponents to call him a clown at every opportunity, and offer my deepest gratitude for your continued efforts in that regard.

John Powderhead.

Could be any of a thousand establishment media serfs.

They all say the same thing, and they all consider Trump to be the most dangerous to their porkupations.

Ronald Reagan’s liberal actions before he was president:

In 1950 Reagan helped raise money
for democrat Helen Gahagan Douglas
against Richard Nixon for California senator.

In 1966, Reagan put together a campaign group
to run for California governor. They were
Phil Battaglia, Casper Weinberger and Jack Warner.
They were all from the liberal Rockefeller wing of
the Republican party, not the conservative Goldwater wing.

1970 as governor, Reagan appointed Donald Wright as the
Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court. Wright’s
court later found the death penalty unconstitutional in California.

1972 Reagan supported the re-election of President Richard Nixon instead of giving support to conservative Republican candidate John Ashbrook, who ran an effort to dump Nixon.

As California Governor, Reagan used his own office funds to keep the Office of Economic Opportunity alive in the state and he tried to make California the first state to create its own consumer affairs dept.

1976 in his presidential run against Gerald Ford, Reagan chose the most liberal Republican Senator in the senate, Richard Schweiker as his vice presidential running mate. In 1980, he chose another liberal running mate
George HW Bush.

Pudhoretz spent the last election cycle proclaiming the brilliance of the Romney campaign. That tells you what we need to know.

Two-ton Podhoretz is an open borders neocon who is owned lock, stock & barrel by the GOPe. Total fraud. Sounds like he’s in love with the bus-boy Rubio.....with that love-letter he wrote.

The main take away is, any Republican nominee must run on being polite and talking in a not too loud, just above soft, tone. That is the path to victory against Hillary who is running on the theme, “There is a Republican hiding under my bed, and has been there for decades” (and that is who gave me kennel cough). If she even gets the nomination.

Both Rubio and Cruz are not natural born citizens, so Trump automatically will be the nominee once they are disqualified.

VICTORY!!!!

Call it a clown show if you like, but The Donald is bringing in the “Standing room only” crowds, where several of the rivals keep to much smaller venues, and do not always fill them.

Only Bernie Sanders seems to have an even remotely similar appeal, and it is among a highly specialized demographic. The Donald crowds cover a WIDE spectrum, and he can play just about any crowd for its fullest potential. Even hecklers (the few that make it in) only make The Donald look even stronger and better when the confrontation has subsided.
