Does anyone remember W’s campaign? Basically they simply messaged that his name was George Bush, and he was more likable than his dad. “Good to have a beer with.” He was as tightly scripted as Robotio. (Admission: I voted for W. twice, of course.)

I voted for Bush twice. And I remember how infuriating his 2004 campaign was. Genius Rove and Compassionate George just lay down and took all the trash talk without responding. In fact, it was 8 solid years of maximum wimpitude.
