I don't mean to be condescending, but quite honestly I don't think anyone who does not see the beast up close can possibly understand what a demented all-devouring monster it has become. The country is really in very deep trouble. Maybe Trump can't fix it, but I don't see anyone else who can. Politics within the existing spectrum of moves won't do it. Bernie cannot do it and neither can Cruz, nor anything in between. It isn't a legal problem, or a political problem. It is a leadership and management problem. It is how to tame fifteen sprawling out of control cabinet agencies as well as a number of other lesser beasts and monsters (if EPA is a lesser beast).

It is daunting. It will require cabinet secretaries like Carl Icahn, not cabinet secretaries like any of the cabinet secretaries we have ever had before in over two centuries of government.

Agreed. We need people who are used to making things happen, taking charge, making decisions and taking responsibility. Trump is that kind of person and knows how to select others.

I’m not sure people understand we are essentially a captured people. And there are those who will do seemingly anything to preserve and even grow that beast you describe.
