I watched that cell phone video (taken at Carrier& went viral on YouTube). It was heartbreaking. Those are skilled, American workers...I think the avg tenure was 17 years. So many of the older ones will end up in retail. Lose their house. Life changes that are hard to swallow. I vividly remember when LTV Steel (J & L). People just “left” Braddock, Hazelwood. Abandoned their homes. Businesses closed. EVERY damn thing changed in months.
Not every job is white collar. We are killing the middle class with companies leaving. Trump hit a nerve w/man Americans. And THAT post hit my nerves.
People say he can’t prevent companies leaving but I think he can, not by stomping his feet but by understanding their business model and knowing what mix of carrot and stick will succeed. He is unique among the candidates in that reguard.
I agree, but Trump is not a magician. He can’t will it to stop. He just says they will be taxed if they leave (rolling my eyes). OK, it is all better now. Extreme fantasy.
