I assume that if a Democrat crosses over and votes in the Republican primary, they would no longer be allowed to vote in the Democrat primary (right?). Wouldn’t this dissuade Democrats from crossing over? After all, they’ve got quite a battle going on their side, and you’d think they’d want to save their vote for Hillary or Bernie.

Yes, but the Democrat liberal might not know he could not vote in his own race the following Saturday.
