Matthew 7: 1-6
—
That scripture is more misused by liberals and non-believers than any in the Bible.
Jesus is saying don’t be a HYPOCRITE. Even in that same chapter, we are told to make judgements ...
15 âWatch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheepâs clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them.
Is homosexuality wrong? Is abortion? Is stealing? If we say yes, we’ve made a judgement.
I think people misunderstand judgement in Biblical terms. We can look at a persons fruits and determine if we think they have sinned. What we should not do is say how God will judge them. We have no idea who God will love and forgive. Many Biblical figures sinned, but they were forgiven those sins.
The judge not lest ye be judged means don’t assume you know what only God knows.
