EXCELLENT!

And Cruz had done this at least twice now, that we are aware. To a non-Christian, Cruz is just proving what kind of low life he is, groveling and begging, because he was so evil that it's going to cost him an election. They'll conclude that he's just going after Carsen's (few) voters.

To a Christian, Cruz is walking the walk. Even though he wasn't personally responsible for the CNN tweet, or the contents of Rep. King's more suggestive re-tweet, or for any of Cruz caucus supporters taking photo copies of those tweets (man I'm old, paper copies?? they probably just showed others the news on their smart phones), Cruz (a) explained the event, (b) publicly apologized up front, before the facts were even clear, (c) called Carson personally, and (d) did not scapegoat anyone else in his campaign.

Christians, saw Christian, or Christ-like leadership from Cruz. And, we're seeing it again. His campaign will not benefit from patching things up with Carsen, because Trump and Rubio will keep on with "liar, liar, stole the Iowa election" until hell freezes over, regardless of circumstances or facts. Cruz is just doing the right thing, and by the way, he didn't issue a press announcement while doing it.

Agreed. Exactly how I see it. I’ve seen the same thing on FR. After a particularly bruising engagement, I make a private offer of reconciliation, and sometimes it is accepted, but sometimes it is not. It’s hard when that happens. I value the relationships I form here. But sometimes someone is so set on their construction of you they can’t believe you might really mean it, or perhaps they just don’t value the relationship. Maybe some other possibilities.

But warring among brothers and sisters in Christ is contrary to the Christian prime directive, love one another, and I do not understand those who profess faith in Christ being comfortable with sustained separation from fellow believers, least of all over the passing shadow of politics. Which is why I almost always end my posts in a prayer for ...

Peace,
