I honestly think Trump is trying to see outrageous he can be and still get 30% of the country to vote for him. His entire campaign is one giant troll job on American people.

A coworker of mine recently compared Trump's campaign to The Producers - the suggestion was that Trump is trying very hard to run an ultimately losing campaign, while creating brand loyalty among a hard-core base of supporters who will buy anything he sells them when he goes back to his business life.

I shrugged it off at the time, but maybe it's not so far-fetched?
