The answer is easy. Trump says no specifics, just slogans like “Make America Great Again” and “I’m going to get us great deals” and “everything is going to be great”.
He lets people fill in the blanks for themselves what “great” means to them, and he becomes the perfect candidate for them because in their minds he agrees with them on EVERYTHING. And how could you not for the guy who agrees with you on everything?
Trump tells people what they want to hear, but with no substance or specifics on how he’s going to do it, and with reason to trust him, either, given his history. But he’s angry and outrageous when he says things, and that appeals to some people, I guess.
What I’m afraid of is that The Great Deal will be The New Deal 2.0.
So simple even a caveman could do it.So why hasn't the smartest guy in the GOP figured that out?
A woman called Rush today and said that she originally went for Trump because "winning" jumped out at her.
She eventually gave up on him because "Cruz was the only one who stood against ethanol subsidies in Iowa."
