A position Trump stole from Cruz.

11 months ago...

http://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/234499-cruz-unveils-obamacare-alternative

Cruz’s bill, called the Health Care Choices Act, would allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, long a Republican health policy goal.

you have an interesting view of sentence structure

Well I like the mandate. OK. So here’s where I’m a little bit different. I don’t want people dying on the streets and I say this all the time

Tell me where in that you find him saying that he is different in the way you say.

Trump’s plan is not a plan. Like most of his statements it’s a vague proclamation of shiny, happy, wonderful things he promises he is going to do. HOW you do something like provide universal health coverage means EVERYTHING. Obamacare is the only thing that’s been invented that even comes close other than full on socialized medicine. If there’s another way, Trump needs to tell us what it is, because no one is known to have invented one yet.

If people without insurance want their medical bills paid, they need to look to private charity or churches. It’s not the taxpayer’s job to pay the way for freeloaders. The government buying people free stuff is one of the biggest problems this country is facing. It undermines our national sovereignty and security in countless ways. It must be stopped if we’re going to survive as a nation.

... He never said tonight or has he ever said any other time that I am aware of that anyone should be required to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty ...

He says he likes the mandate and that is what the mandate is!!

You may want to take your own tagline more seriously.

So a plan subsidized by the tax payer for employees that have a “company” running in the read by Trillions of dollars is the plan he wants to copy. _______________________________ Its subsidized for employees of the federal government like other employers plan but the tables that I inserted on an earlier post delineate what the unsubsidized cost is. Why would buying into the plan be subsidized?

The mandate is only necessary provided if you want .....to provide assistance to families who otherwise would be unable to afford. I don't see allowing folks to buy into the federal group as a big govt. intrusion.

According to what you have posted, Cruz’s bill is dated 2015.

The issues paper I linked to earlier states that as early as 2011, Mr. Trump was for using interstate commerce to force insurance companies to cross state lines.

Cruz = 2015

Trump = 2011

Trump wins : )

At this point nothing that is said can get me on board with Cruz. So I’m with Trump. I don’t need to hear much else.

A position Trump stole from Cruz. 11 months ago... __________ You are incorrect.

Donald only beat Cruz by a FEW YEARS. Source: Time to Get Tough, by Donald Trump, p.131 , Dec 5, 2011 Increase insurance competition across state lines

Even if we elect a real president who will get tough and repeal Obamacare, we still need a plan to bring down health-care costs and make health-care insurance more affordable for everyone. It starts with increasing competition between insurance companies. Competition makes everything better and more affordable. One way to infuse more competition into the market is to let citizens purchase health-care plans across state lines. This could be easily accomplished if Congress got some guts and did the right thing. The U.S. Constitution gives Congress control over interstate commerce. But for whatever reason, the Congress has never exercised this power regarding health insurance. They need to.

The facts: John Roberts had a conservative track record, and had argued 39 cases before the USSC. He had excellent conservative credentials. He clerked for USSC Chief Justice William Rehnquist. He was appointed by Ronald Reagan as a special Assistant to the AG. He was appointed to the Federal Court of Appeals by GHW Bush. The Senate held at 55 GOP 45 Democrats, but Democrats had the filibuster available to block any G.W. Bush nominee.

Roberts was the best, most conservative Jurist that Bush could get past the Senate. NOBODY IN THE GOP-c or GOP-e DISAGREED WITH THAT ASSESSMENT IN 2005. So, why the new standard now, for Cruz?

http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2005-07-20.html Ann Coulter smelled a rat with Roberts back in 2005. Read it and weep because what she wrote about him panned out. And there was a Republican Senate so GW Bush did not have to nominate a blank slater like Roberts. You do this when Dems have Senate control. So blame cuck Bush for this wimping out and (again) Anne was so perceptive on this.

oh and to make it work Heritage had a mandate too.

Bottom line: Mr. Trump has a consistent video track record dating back to the 1988 Republican Convention, while Cruz was still a Canadian citizen, a loyal subject of the Queen.

I’ll take Trump and leave you with Cruz.

As a librairan surely you have heard of

Essay Concerning Human Understanding by John Locke (1690)

argumentum ad verecundiam being what you tried to use, or in this case more directly a argument from false authority claiming djt is an authority in the a field that he has never been in much less succeed at that being governance.

Much like saying a hall of fame pitcher could correctly work on a C++ program because he was great at being a pitcher.

I see, so you will 1/2 vote for Hillary or Bernie if djt is not on ticket. How sad.

One thing I have learned in my 30+ years as a librarian, is that politicians do not understand government; they only understand how to get re-elected.

Mr. Trump understands government.
