The Pope can do what he wants. You can’t do the same.
We were bussed with our group to a point so where on the perimeter before filing in as part of a private tour. It was at night and I was a bit turned around so I’m not sure if we were on the north, east, whatever side of the Vatican. All I know is it was a very large, very old-looking wall. It looked like a castle rampart with very old looking drainage scuppers built into them.
