U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is 'not Christian' because of his views on immigration, Pope Francis said on his way back to Rome from Mexico. The pope said, however, he did not want to advise American Catholics on whether or not to vote for Trump. In a freewheeling conversation with reporters on his flight back from a visit to Mexico, Francis was asked about Trump and some of his statements, such as vowing to build a wall between the United States and Mexico if he becomes president.

I will read through as you suggested.
I’m Orthodox myself and we are not perfect by any means. In fact. we quibble outside Church often, so often that it turns people away. In Church we are all united, but outside Church....oh boy!
I have Catholic relatives and I always say that I am so respectful of Roman Catholic history and especially the incredible things their priests and nuns have done to help so many, and to save so many lives and to bring light to the World where they can.
That said, the RCC seems structurally different in the sense that they cannot turn out their leaders when scandal flies around, whereas I have seen Orthodox priests turned out on the street in less than 24 hours.
So the Catholic faithful may indeed be outraged, but I don’t think there’s much they can do about it.
BTW, I’d rather have them here illegally than have them as citizens capable of voting Democrat. The former is reversible. The latter is not.
I will look into this as a choice, I was think about baptist but I will also try and investigate the orthodox I have a felling though I would be more comfortable southern Baptist. I live in Ca. so I will see what is in my area and attend a few of the churches and when I feel as though I could be at home my choice will be made!! I no longer feel at home in my church!!!

IMHO, it is the Pope who is not a good Christian, maybe not even Christian. Since when is it against Christianity to defend one's nation against invasion and protect people from radical Muslims and rapists?
How many radical Syrians has the Vatican accepted? And isn't part of the Vatican protected by a tall wall? And saying Trump, a man he has never met, might not be a Christian, is a snarky thing to say just before an important primary. The Pope has a nasty side.

I attend Thompson Station Church for the preacher Tom McCoy
He is politically very right wing and tough on culture
It’s a praise church more than old hymns but not charismatic
Most southern Methodists and Presbyterian church of America and the traditional southern Church of Christ and likely all charismatics....speaking in tongues sort are all very conservative with rare exceptions
I hear good stuff on Missouri Synod Lutherans too
Personally I like a personal direct relationship with God but however one accept the concept of salvation through the son of God is wonderful
When the Trump Wall is finished, Pope Francis should be permanently restricted to the Mexican side.
The Pope has just made me reconsider my opposition to Trump.
Without costing him a penny.

Most of my relatives on Long Island, NY are Catholic AND Republicans.
My late uncle was a Republican party official on Long Island years ago. His daughter, an elementary school teacher, despises both Hillary and Obama and votes GOP, and so does her husband.
I am french , catholic , and i DISAGREE with that pope and his shamefull and hypocritical statement .
I think more over that this pope is not a gift for the catholic church in our times !

In addition, illegals are counted in the census, so California has three, four or more congressional districts than it should have, as well as three, four or more Electoral College votes than it should have.
