Trump's biggest enemy: Google
CNN ^ | 16 Feb 16 | Dean Obeidallah

Poor Donald Trump. He really, really wants to leave behind his brash, vulgar, sexist and bigoted comments and be seen as presidential.

Trump told reporters as much last week, noting how easily he can pivot to be more presidential. "I'm very capable of changing to anything I want to change to," he said. He also vowed to "never" use "foul language" again on the campaign trail.

What has brought on this sudden change of heart?

Apparently Trump, much like countless past presidential candidates before him, wants to begin pivoting from more partisan positions in the primary to more moderate ones to help in the general election. Only in Trump's case, we are not talking a change in policy, but a change in persona.

Here's the thing, though: Trump could suddenly start acting like Prince Charming complete with white horse, but there's one big problem standing in the way of this chameleon transformation -- Google. Of course, YouTube and Twitter don't help him too much either, but Google is truly Trump's kryptonite.

“but 60% are fed up with Trump...”

You forget that 70% of the Republicans were fed up with Trump last summer...

...then they heard his message and it’s now OPPOSITE.

It’s Google Trends from the most recent debate. It has nothing to do with polls. Pay attention.

At $19 TRILLION in debt, yes.

Reading comprehension can be easily fixed though. This thread is about Google searches, dude.

"So you trust a flip flopping big mouth orange Manhattanite?"

Based on his stated positions, Donald Trump is my least-favorite Republican candidate. But I'd vote for Donald Duck over Bernie or Hillary or Nanny Bloomberg.

Thanks to writers who fail to support their questionable assertions about the character of Donald Trump, there is a lot of garbage writing. I have seen NO evidence that Trump is brash, vulgar, sexist or bigoted.

Please support your assertions before making a fool of yourself!

It is refreshing to see someone like Donald Trump actually speak the truth, to actually say what many, many people are thinking. Real evidence shows that Trump is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, and reverent.

Stop forcing what Trump says into your warped and twisted version outside of its real context!

“I have seen NO evidence that Trump is brash, vulgar, sexist or bigoted.”

That’s because you don’t want to see it especially the brash and vulgar part. I’m not sure about the bigoted part as trump pretty much hates everybody but himself.

Maybe but I've noticed a trend since August I watch a Trump Rally and go awesome. Time goes by I'm here beep booping around on Free Republic and Trump (or Cruz if you support him) turns into a monster.

I worry and go watch another Trump rally and go awesome. I don't know I don't see a change.

Is he still killing PC?

Is he still going to build the wall?

Is he still bring attention to Christians being slaughtered?

Is he talking about America being an awesome place again?

Is he talking about protecting American jobs and workers?

Does he still support the 2nd amendment unconditionally?

Is he still self-funding?

Does he still rip in to former president rapist Clintion?

Do all the pimps of punditry keep screaming?

I'll go watch another rally but I doubt it'll much different then its ever been. If so I'm still drinking the grape kool-aid.

That writer’s assertions are backed up by the quotes, which are linked in the article. I say it’s fine if people don’t think it’s fair to quote Trump or to listen to his actual words. You cannot force a mind to open, and it’s your right to ignore evidence that doesn’t support your view of Trump. Nonetheless, the evidence is still out there. Will all the people who do not support Trump now suddenly start supporting him soon and ignore all of his comments? It seems unlikely. Character does matter. It seems self-evident that a man who brags in his books about adultery, a man who keeps shucking off wives for younger ones, a man who sets up a University with no accreditation to defraud people, isn’t a man of high character.

Double standard much? What in the world is the matter with you? Would you let a pure hit piece on ole bilious Boots 'n Belly just sit there?

We have just seen a PR firm poll get posted a dozen times in here. You know, If I didn't know better I would think this is the DU forum the way the republican front-runner gets posted and smeared.

Shucks, when the media gets republican/democrat talking-heads to replay... guess what, they both slam Trump. Something is going on when all the media, establishment and follow-the-preacher types hit the same man. The only ones who don't are the average folks that want their country back.

Cruz should be leading by 20% in his own state. 5 is barely over the margin of error. Besides, that ain’t gonna be a winner take all situation and Trump hasn’t spent any time there.

not sure why you replied to me?

but I’ll bite on this part:
{If I didn’t know better I would think this is the DU forum the way the republican front-runner gets posted and smeared.}
When the republican front-runner (btw, maybe not, looking at the latest polls!) is a liberal big govt boor, he deserves to have his record brought up at every occasion.

Lets throw the self-funding guy over because we are acting child like? How has acting adult like and doing the same thing over and over doing for us?

50 million dead babies, several pointless wars, barbarians at the gate, huge debt, a group of supreme justice overlords dropping bombs on decency and liberty? It goes on and on.

I think your condescending crystal ball is horribly wrong lots of Trump supports are paying attention and quite closely.

Calling Trump a statist is like call a Bush a conservative or calling Cruz charismatic.
