Patton was also a "populist" as most of his troops loved him. Being a populist is not in and of itself an evil or bad thing. Hitler rose to lead because of populism but became a tyrant. That does not mean that ALL populist candidates become tyrants. Besides, Trump is too old to be a tyrant, too rich to care about megalomaniacal fantasies, and too practical to try and enslave the world. He knows it won't work. I believe that he believes in America, and has decided to try and fix it. Maybe he can, maybe he can't, but after the crap of the last 20 years I am all for giving him the chance.
