Sorry, I'm not seeing how adding prescription drugs to the government shopping list is going to save taxpayers any money. Seems to me that taxpayers could save themselves the cost of this by not doing it. $300 billion? How much will the government have to spend on drugs in order to save the taxpayer $300 billion?

(fyi, nationwide total pharmacy sales of prescription drugs is well below $300 billion).

Dude drugs are already on the govt shopping list. Did you forget about Medicare part d that bush got passed that greatly expanded the shopping list???
