Yes, Trump doesn’t live in The South. Shocking revelation. He’s gonna go down now!

Looking forward to casting my vote for Trump in my SUNSHINE STATE primary. :)

Problem is, many Trump supporters don’t care what these people think or say.

Orange man - Oh noes!!! Supporters paint their faces orange as a rally cry.

Mexico - Gasp!! M-13 are just children?

Bankruptcies - Clutch my pearls! I’m going to faint!!

Hyperventilating!! Somebody fetch a paper bag!

Maybe they need a revival with a foam party following. That’ll fix em.

These people are so clueless is shocking.

Nope, I am voting for Trump because his enemies are my enemies. He is the only one who is keeping the press and the GOPe from picking their candidate. And I am a very conservative voter.

If I thought Cruz would be anywhere close to his current position without Trump’s existence, I might vote for Cruz. But I have already seen the press decimate Cruz several times (Green Eggs and Ham).

I first started voting in the seventies and Reagan was the first and last time I voted for a presidential candidate I liked. And by the way, the press hated him and the GOPe hated him. After that, they made a deal, only watered down GOP presidential candidates will get good press and money. I am voting for Trump regardless of Trump. I don’t think the others will win when the press start shooting at them. The national polls of Trump vs. whoever or Rubio vs. whoever are meaningless. Those polls will completely change long before the November elections.

He did lose Iowa, seemed momentarily humbled, but then quickly reverted to form by asserting that he really won.

That's funny, but it is exactly what theOne proclaimed after his team lost the 2014 election - big time. He claimed turnout was low, so everybody who didn't vote for Republicans was voting for him instead. And since then, tiny little president Stoner has been acting as a winner. And out team goes along.

Trump is going to win the primary.
Period.
I am appalled at the venomous, juvenile remarks here.
Personally, I will support trump or Cruz and anyone here stating that they, the pure and true conservatives, will stay at home come November should simply vote Hillary and get it over with

Been thinking about Trump. As someones tagline says, 'Trump will build the wall. Nothing else matters.'

If Trump will build the wall and stop the invasion and avoids the Islamic Rape of Europe (America), he's half way to winning the Presidency.

His new 'Common Sense Conservative' comment is a brilliant spin-off from 'Make America Great Again'.

Sorry, but this “advice” is about as useful as his prediction about Trump pulling out before IA to avoid a loss. Don’t know who this guy is, but his grasp on reality is TENUOUS at best.

This is a model to basically continue to lose to Trump.

The problem with all this blathering by this individual is that he seems to think pointing out Trump failed at something that that is going to destroy him.... its a laughable premise. Trump is a businessman, he’s had successes and failures, and because Trump has ALWAYS made himself part of the public consciousness he’s done them all in the public eye.

His business failures aren’t hidden away, they are out there for all to see. This “strategy” is about as useful as deciding you are going to try to go after Tim Allen because he went to jail for dealing drugs... doesn’t matter he made a career after that pointing out exactly what he did in his standup.

This guy is trying to go for the trifecta of failure on Trump, that this will be his 2nd pasting.

Trump can’t be beat by death by a thousand cuts, or even numberous body blows... you want to take Trump out you have to have a head shot, and the reality is, to date no one has anything.... this guys advice is about as good as his idiotic idea that Trump would withdraw rather than face losing Iowa, as though someone becomes a Billionaire by giving up anytime he doesn’t get his way.... its this fallacy and myth that Trump is just some spoiled brat that keeps causing the establishment and so many others to just completely misjudge the situation and this candidate.

You want to take out Trump? If you don’t have a head shot to offer, your only other choice is to co-opt his message, and since the GOP establishment is completely owned by a few big money donors who will never agree with Closing the Borders, and cutting off their illegal and cheap labor and other things... the establishment guys can’t co opt Trumps message. They can’t promise to put America first, because they are beholden to folks who don’t give a crap about America, just their own damned pockets. The GOP is once again beholden to modern day Stalwarts, who only care about enriching themselves.

You want to beat Trump, you need either a head shot, or you need to simply coopt his message.... The reality is, the rest of the field can do neither, so Trump wins by default. Its amazing, running a campaign of “I WILL PUT AMERICA FIRST” should be such an easy message to co-opt, yet the fact is not a single one of many candidates with R beside their names can do it... what does that tell you about the state of the Republican party?

Wow the Leftist political establishment, locked in their ignorant ideological baised bubble world views of average Americans, is offer advice to the “Conservative” Establishments on how to win votes?

HAVE You taken a look at their electoral victory record? Other then Obama this clown posse has manage to take the once dominate Democrat party to a nearly dead pale shadow of it former self.

And supposed “Conservatives are taking it seriously?

You idiots! THIS is exactly why you are losing! Your candidates are clinging to to failed Establishment political playbook of selective quotation, exaggeration and lying by omission. You guys do not get it.

The political playbook itself is part of the problem. You are using the same old political tactics in a year when people are completely fed up with “politics as usual”.

Your candidates are acting like standard issue politicians running standard issue “politics as usual” campaigns and you wonder wondering why they are losing ground!

The voters have heard all the same thing from the GOP candidates for 3 decades. All the high flying retroic on ideological purity are meaningless to a voter who been underemployed since 2008,is worried if his current employer is going to move his job to Mexico tomorrow and whose kids go to a corrupt, incompetent, gang infested school.

People want solutions, not “how many Conservatives can dance on the head of a pin”, ideological debates.

There is no real reason for moderates to support the candidate who labels Mexicans “rapists” and wants to impose a religious test on those boarding airplanes in Toronto to fly to Chicago.

The author doesn't understand how some people come to view themselves as "moderates" or "independents". For them, the key word isn't Mexican, but rapists, and they are very much NOT on board for rapists (as opposed to liberals who want to give them a fair hearing).

A ludicrously stupid article, for example to win by continuing to hit Trump hard with numerous accusations.

Doesn't work. Why? Because Trump just shrugs them off and hits back twice as hard-- look at all the accusations that Cruz is a liar, which are getting repeated so much they'll stick even if they're not true.

Watching the other candidates and the media go after Trump is like watching a Little League team go after the NY Yankees. It just produces more embarrassment for Trump's opponents.

Don't get me wrong: I don't think Trump is very conservative in many ways. But I also think Trump's candidacy is revealing that much of American conservatism is (in political terms) like a particularly well preserved mummy: it looks alive until it falls over and crumbles into pieces.

What people want is protection from predatory immigration and predatory "free" trade to fix the economy. To them, if the economy doesn't get fixed (which requires kicking the establishment in the nuts) nothing else matters.

In a Republican primary, Trump lacks both an ideological or geographic base.

It appears that "all your base are belong to Trump."

Trump leads in all the demographics among Republican candidates. Trump has created the Big Tent Republican party that the GOP-e has whined about for twenty or so years, and he did it without the establishment help. Actually, the establishment has openly been trying to thwart his efforts all along the way. In some polls, Trump gets 40% of the black vote, and 40% of the Hispanic vote. Trump gets pluralities of every single demographic, and still the GOP-e is openly against him. Why???

Here it is. The GOP-e is not interested in winning elections. They are only interested in keeping the multi-Trillion Dollar Gravy Train running, and it doesn't matter which party is in office. They gets their cut.

Trump is a threat to their gravy train.

Advice? Stuart Stevens admits he gets it wrong within the first 150 words of an atypical character assassination piece.

I’m sick of these campaign wonks.
