A few months ago I wrote that Donald Trump was probably going to withdraw before the Iowa caucuses rather than face the embarrassment of defeat. Wrong. He did lose Iowa, seemed momentarily humbled, but then quickly reverted to form by asserting that he really won. He went on to a landslide victory in New Hampshire and now leads in South Carolina.
While much of the political world speculates that Trump may be creating a new kind of candidacy largely immune to normal attacks, let me make another assertion (that may prove as wrong as the previous): Donald Trump should be easy to defeat. What makes him not a ânormalâ candidate actually makes him more vulnerable rather than stronger. Let me explain.
In a Republican primary, Trump lacks both an ideological or geographic base. For all the focus on his bigoted remarks about Mexicans and Muslims, Trump has won self-identified moderate voters in both Iowa and New Hampshire. In Iowa, he lost conservatives and very conservatives but won them in NH (in a landslide victory like he had in NH, itâs hard to win everything.) In a party that is increasingly dominated by the South and Sunbelt, Trump lives on Fifth Avenue.

What? Are you being sarcastic?
How many Republicans voted against Ruth Bader Ginsburg?
>>That I have to tell you that those potatoes at his rallies are completely self-selected and not representative of the nation as a whole only underscores how stupid most Trumpettes are.
LOL. I am sitting here reading your posts in thread and imagining how you are screaming with spittle flying from your mouth as you hammer on your keyboard. Have you considered using your posts as the subtitles in that Hitler in the bunker video? It would be awesome.
Post some more insults! Nothing makes want to choose Cruz more than your posts and Glenn Beck’s looney tooniness
But, but I don’t want to beat Trump or Cruz or Rubio or Carson any Republican. I only want to beat Hillary or Sanders. :-)
That's if they vote for Rubio.
That looks just like tRump and his family.
What would be the purpose of the demented thought that spews this crap in any religious context?
If you truly support Cruz, which I doubt, you would have been raised to know better.
That's funny, but it is exactly what theOne proclaimed after his team lost the 2014 election - big time. He claimed turnout was low, so everybody who didn't vote for Republicans was voting for him instead. And since then, tiny little president Stoner has been acting as a winner. And out team goes along.
I don’t care if you never support Cruz. Ain’t no way trump ever gets my vote.
>>It appears they like it better than tRump does.
You are correct! (Because arguing with your level of insane disconnection from reality is pointless.)
Makes a heck of a lot of difference with a GOP Senate right now than if it was a Democratic majority, don't you think?
No. Where do you detect that?
>>I donât care if you never support Cruz. Ainât no way trump ever gets my vote.
If he gets the nomination, I will support him. Fortunately, the insane Chruztians like you are pretty rare and statistically insignificant in an election.
That’s pretty witty, Beandog! Tell me, did Mr. and Mrs. Beandog have any children that lived?
Trump is going to win the primary.
Period.
I am appalled at the venomous, juvenile remarks here.
Personally, I will support trump or Cruz and anyone here stating that they, the pure and true conservatives, will stay at home come November should simply vote Hillary and get it over with
Looking sharp Goldsborugh
