Friedman just owns Phil here.
Phil Donahue has the IQ of a tree stump.
The most striking thing to me about this program is that Phil Donahue used to be the equivalent of tabloid television in his heyday. And yet he had Milton Friedman on his show and treated him respectfully. It shows how our culture has declined.
He also had Ayn Rand on there.
Friedman is one of my favorites!
MIND CONTROL ON DISPLAY !

PRAISE BE TO THEE LORD, IN JESUS NAME. AMEN
Ummmmmmm.......Okaaaaay. *scratches head*
Sure does.
Some folks think Matthew 6:6 gets in the way of their piety, I guess.
“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. “
Agreed, anyone dying while having a position of National interest should probably have a autopsy performed to determine cause of death. Makes sense really. Removing doubt from any possibility of foul play being missed.
I’m thinking that even this has to be formed with some context otherwise I guess we even have to find fault with Jesus Christ Himself who often prayed in public. There are different kinds of prayer.
To display ones religion was confirmed by Jesus who said “to go and tell others ... or so I understand it.
Then what do you suppose Matthew 6:6 refers to?
Maybe he should have just said, “Knock of the all caps.”
I Remember watching Phil Donahue back in the day . I was quite an impressionable young woman and yet I remember the day he had Bill Clinton on . This is when Clinton was running in 1992 . For a good 20 minutes , Phil kept hammering Clinton about the infidelity stories that were coming out. Old Bill did his best outrage routine. Finally a woman stood up and berated Donahue for his insistence on pursuing the rumors when there were so many other things to discuss and the shift in the audience’s attitude was quite discernible.
Years later, I reviewed it on youtube and realized how masterful it was and how we were played. Totally contrived.
BUMP
Phil was never too bright. In retrospect it’s hard to believe he was so popular. At least he had the sense to have Milton Friedman as a guest.
Your cap lock seems to be stuck.
Right. Being over 80 I like seeing what I write. Not excuse, simply preference.
It is not intended to be shouting, Sorry!
I’m in the over 80 FR club too. :-)
