Obama is already winning the argument on this. The Republicans need to get out front and go on the offensive. Obama does have the constitutional authority to appoint a justice, but Congress has the responsibility to make sure that person is a jurist, not an activist. Obama is setting the field so the low information crowd thinks the confirmation process is a rubber stamp.

What? No he's not. Maybe among demoCRPAS and the Lefist media he is, but not in the minds of the Republican electorate and Senators.

Let the low information voter think what they want. That's an oxymoron anyway. Low information voters aren't even paying attention and won't vote democRAT based on this argument by Obama.

The Constitution says, "Senate must consider..." and that's all. The Senate doesn't have any responsibility to a president's SC nominee beyond that consideration to do anything. They don't have to say yea or nay or give him what he wants.
