Personally, I wouldn’t even bother trying to come up with some notion of “tradition” or “precedent” in terms of not approving Obama’s pick. I’d come right out and say “You’ve shown no respect for the Constitution or the Supreme Court itself. You have no credibility on the matter, and we have no intention of letting you put someone on the Court who shares your disregard for the Constitution and law.”
