Donald Trump, with Amazonian beauty Melania Knauss at his side, pronounces on the war and the stock market: "If they keep fighting it the way they did today, they're going to have a real problem."
Looking as pensive as a "Nightline" talking head, the Donald concludes, "The war's a mess," before sweeping off into the crowd.

Yes.
Ron Paul is a loony leftist on those issues in that he shares and has appropriated the left world view.
“These are the people he “hangs with” because they have similar philosophies....or similar piles of money/power.”
Hey, it could be much worse. Venue could been the homoerotic, weirdo Bohemian Grove.
Partyers....you are right.
My eye slipped on that one. I typed instead of copy/pasted, too. Sure to have an error in that.
Iraq was not a national security threat to the United States at the time. Supporting war because someone with an R decided to do it doesn’t make one conservative.
Oh God......you still living in 2003 when we all had to love the Iraq War. You still love that overrated horrid war? I suppose we all have to or we are not patriotic. That is long done........don’t even bother trying it now. The marketing worked in 2003.....won’t in 2016.
There were a lot of libertarians partying in Hollywood at the time. /s
Trump also wrote we should attack Iraq before the war.
He says anything at any time for whatever reason if it may benefit him and it seems also for no real reason.
libertarians are not leftists in my book
Pat is a genuine conservative. Others have secret motives.
So Ron Paul and Pat Buchannan are hardcore leftists?
That was 2000.
This is 2003.
Libertarians are not leftists in my book either but they share common world view with them on many issues, most congruently US foreign policy.
much of that was before 9/11. After 9/11, we made a colossal error by the Iraq focus. Obama and Bush bear a lot of blame for the mess. the uniparty needs to be broken up.
In some areas Paul and Buchanan were the same as leftists and, as I pointed out, Buchanan recognized this and did ally with The Nation on some issues.
I have been amazed when talking to lefty West LA people how much they sound like Pat Buchanan. Hardcore leftists actually respect Pat Buchanan but think he is racist etc...
It is a weird dynamic but it is true how the fringes meet, but come at it from different sides.
I was happy to see most Republicans (except crazies like McCain and Linda Graham) oppose Obama and Hillary's intervention in Libya in 2011, but I often wonder whether these same people would be 100% in favor of the intervention if it were done by a Republican administration, even with the same net result of destabilizing the region.
The change from Partyers to,partners was probably autocorrect.
Since Trump is open and vocal about his opposition to the Second Gulf War today, how is this supposed to be some revelation or embarrassment for him? Trump has backpedaled on a lot of issues (including immigration and health care) and should be called on it, but this isn't one of them.
Leftist then. Leftist now.
In March 2003 only hardcore leftists were saying this as the war was no way a mess at that time.

I’m a conservative and was against the war. Conservatives usually end wars, not start them.
Afghanistan was a mess for the Russians.
what’s new?
After 911 there was no way to know if Iraq was developing a bomb which they could use on us via Al Qaeda.
It was established well before 911 that Al Qaeda and Iraq were cooperating on weapons development (if you don’t believe that, see the bin Laden 1998 indictment).
After 911 there was no way we could not have gone in and overthrown Hussein and made sure there was no danger or threat of an Iraq developed bomb.
People forget so easily.
Today there is absolutely no danger that Iraq is developing a bomb or that any bomb they develop could be used.
Hussein in power for the last 15 years would not guarantee that.
We were much more secure after the war and Iraq was much better off.
Obama caused the horror show that began a few years ago by removing troops.
Even with the horror show, we are much safer than if Hussein had been in power.
Why were you against removing Saddam Hussein?
