Why wouldn't they? Look around you. Why would any family want the body of their loved one be the centerpiece of all the conspiracy nuts that are running with this? Regardless of what an autopsy showed the tin-foil brigade would still not believe it and would find even deeper conspiracies. Better not to play at all.
Our Congress has less balls than Hitler's rubber stamping Reichstag.
If I had been a guest there I would probably stay silent,I would not want to get involved w/ any media. That being said I was shocked to learn that SC justices have no SS protection. That blew my mind. I just assumed that would be the case. The autopsy thing is very weird. I do think the family should get the final say. The whole thing played out like an episode of a PBS Mystery. Because of that there will always be speculation & conspiracy theories floating around.
When a justice goes on a speaking engagement the US Marshal service is notified and they usually dispatch a detail that coordinates with the justice and local LEOs. It seems that may have been in play here. Why else would a US Marshal be at the scene so quickly? But, no matter. I was just wondering why said US Marshal decided he could keep the judge/JP away. And for what reason? I mean...this was a USSC justice.
