The problem that these guys dont get is that evangelicals are not a bloc of votes, but some catch-all term with vague boundaries.
Playing to them as your primary election strategy is absurd! You already heard Cruz supporters blow of New Hampshire because there went many of them there. They didn’t see that Cruz’s appeal wasn’t broad enough, just that the people there didn’t fit their target group.
Like what is he going to do in the general election? Just campaign in states with evangelicals in it?
that’s what I said way back weeks ago in Iowa.. if all Cruz can look forward to are evangelicals to eek out his wins then he is a for sure loser in a general election.. might as well be a Pat Robertson
