1. Trump praised Planned Parenthood as recently as Saturday night's debate, saying they do good work. Cruz pressed him on that, and he doubled down on it. Also, Trump has donated significant amounts of money to Harry Reid, John Kerry, Upchuck Schumer, Hillary, and other pro-abort politicians.

See item three below where Donald Trump indicated his abortion views have changed over the years.

That is not difficult for me to accept, because my views have also changed in much the same way. I was never a bleeding heart because I saw that as a weak liberal orientation, as in "bleeding heart liberal."

I felt as a man I should accept any issue that concerns personal women's issues as out of my bailiwick. When I learned that modern medicine allows fully developed babies that only gestated for five months to routinely live and thrive, yet another operating room in the same clinic can take the life of just the same baby, I changed my views in much the same way as Donald Trump must have and I think you should applaud him for the TRiUMPh, not excoriate him for his unfortunate past views.

You already know all about the Northeast Political climate regarding political donations. I cannot say any more about it to a closed mind.

2. Trump says everyone will be covered, and "the government's going to pay for it."

You are perpetuating the horrendous lie of Ted "the liar" Cruz.

Donald Trump will demand the end to Obamacare, replacing it with workable insurance coverage from the private sector. This will include the elimination of state boundaries that have allowed Big Insurers to keep rates artificially high, the removal of the current requirements to provide excessive and ludicrous coverage for all, such as forcing men or women past childbearing age to have maternity coverage. Donald Trump has said Health Savings Accounts, that allow banking funds for future needs, can also provide better coverage for many others. Additionally he has proposed insurance coverage to cover indigent care to greatly reduce the transferred costs the rest of society now pays.

When Trump said that everyone will be covered it was clear he was talking about coverage with health insurance. When he gave that quote "the government is going to pay for it", he was specifically talking about health care for poor people because we already pay for it today in Hospital Emergency Rooms all over the country at a tremendous waste of resources and funds. Trump will renegotiate coverage for the poor at a greatly reduced cost.

3. Trump told Russert that he was pro-choice in all circumstances, including partial-birth abortion. It's on video.

Trump later said: "When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would support a ban."
Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p. 31-32 , Jul 2, 2000

Years later in another interview Donald Trump said: I changed my views to pro-life based on personal stories.
Q: Evangelicals want to feel secure that they're going to have a nominee that's solid on those social issues.
A: One thing about me, I'm a very honorable guy. I'm pro-life, but I changed my view a number of years ago. One of the primary reasons I changed [was] a friend of mine's wife was pregnant, and he didn't really want the baby. He was crying as he was telling me the story. He ends up having the baby and the baby is the apple of his eye. It's the greatest thing that's ever happened to him. And you know here's a baby that wasn't going to be let into life. And I heard this, and some other stories, and I am pro-life.

Q: So those stories did change you, they came around and changed you?
A: They changed me. Yeah, they changed my view as to that, absolutely.

4. See #2. In the first debate, Trump said that socialized medicine "works incredibly well in Canada and Scotland."

Trump also says in this quote, when it is not taken out of context, that it would not work for us:
Donald Trump continued to say, "It could have worked in a different age, which is the age you're talking about here."

This sentence means Trump thinks single payer would have worked 15 years ago before the Obamacare fiasco but not now.

"What I'd like to see is a private system without the artificial lines around every state."
This sentence means Trump is proposing private insurance as we had before Obamacare but he would remove the artificial boundaries between states so that any individual could choose from approximately 160 insurers in competition in the free market which would drastically reduce costs for all of us.

"I have a big company with thousands and thousands of employees. And if I'm negotiating in New York or in New Jersey or in California, I have like one bidder. Nobody can bid. You know why? Because the insurance companies are making a fortune because they have control of the politicians, of course, with the exception of the politicians on this stage. But they have total control of the politicians. They're making a fortune. Get rid of the artificial lines and you will have yourself great plans."
This is Trump expounding on the previous sentence.

"And then we have to take care of the people that can't take care of themselves. And I will do that through a different system."
This is Donald Trump mentioning that he will take care of indigents to keep them from dying on the streets.

5. Yes, he did. Direct quote. He said it works well there.
Read the previous item where Donald Trump said socialized medicine would not work for America.
6. Again, that's another direct quote from The Don.

Another lie, because he was talking about poor people and his belief that we should not suddenly let them die on the streets.

7. He has said this repeatedly.

Cruz has lied repeatedly when he said if you want to see Bernie sanders style of socialized medicine Trump is your guy

So who's lying? Ted Cruz and the vermin that will believe his lies without checking the facts.

“I am the only person who will Make America Great Again.”

Screw this guy.

Our country is what makes America great, WE the people make America great...

Not some phony conservative liberal whom has the track record of trying to take an old ladies home, pushing universal healthcare, and being completely fine with sucking the brains out of infants.

This man will NOT make America great... If anything he will finish us off.

He has ZERO business even being considered for the Presidency.

Ted Cruz is unstable?
The Don is an egotistical, spoiled rotten brat, who if he doesn’t get his way stomps his feet and shouts and pouts. Just like my 5 year old granddaughter. It’s a shame he’s made it this far.

One of the ways I can fight back is to bring a lawsuit against him relative to the fact that he was born in Canada and therefore cannot be President.

Enough with what you might do. Either file the damned lawsuit or shut up about it.

If Trump doesn’t like it, it must be a lie...

The fact is, Trump has changed a lot of positions on major issues since he started running for President. Trump is quite right to say that his speeches since last June have been consistently orthodox. However, Cruz is pointing out that for his entire adult life up until last June, Trump had been consistently Pro-Choice, Pro Big Government, Anti-2A and a whole bunch of other positions consistent with being a run-of-the-mill New York businessman.

There is nothing wrong with having those positions. Millions of New Yorkers think the same thing. There is also nothing wrong with changing those positions something more consistently conservative. We should encourage every Pro-Choice, Anti-2A, Pro-Gov person to come over to our way of thinking.

But it is not wrong to suggest that the voters should look at such a dramatic shift and evaluate whether the politician who has changed positions for the duration of the campaign can be counted on to maintain them after election day.

http://blogs.cbn.com/thebrodyfile/archive/2016/02/15/ted-cruz-to-brody-file-believers-in-jesus-christ-must.aspx?mobile=false

I’ve been blown away ever since I read this article today. I’ve posted the link several places at the risk of belaboring a point. Until I read this piece, I truly thought that it was only Cruz supporters who were setting him up as the only candidate a Christian could vote for and maintain their good standing as faithful followers of Christ. But here it is in Cruz’s own words.

How can a true believer in all that Scripture teaches set himself up in such a position without being afraid, very afraid? I, personally, am afraid for him. Promoting the impression that voting for Cruz is the only “salvation” for America’s Christians is misleading the impressionable and gullible of the flock. I’m sure there will be dire consequences. I shudder for him.

I am the only candidate who has gone so far, at the debate, as to suggest two individuals I feel would best represent the conservative values we need to protect:

Cruz also gave two specific names that he would nominate in the CNN debate:

http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2015/09/16/cnn-reagan-library-debate-later-debate-full-transcript/

CRUZ: And, you know, we're frustrated as conservatives. We keep winning elections, and then we don't get the outcome we want. And, let me focus on two moments in time.

Number one, in 1990, in one room was David Souter, and in another room was Edith Jones, the rock ribbed (ph) conservative on the fifth circuit court of appeals. George Herbert Walker Bush appointed David Souter.

And then in 2005, in one room was John Roberts, in another room was my former boss, Mike Luttig, the rock ribbed (ph) conservative on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals...

...

If, instead, the President Bush had appointed Edith Jones, and Mike Luttig, which is who I would have appointed, Obamacare would have been struck down three years ago, and the marriage laws of all 50 states would be on the books. These matter, and I fought to defend the constitution my whole life...
