Illinois is Obama's home state. It is an excellent test of your question. The question of Cruz's citizenship aside, you're out of your mind! Illinois is THE MOST CORRUPT STATE IN THE COUNTRY and has no business deciding ANYTHING.

That is the point.
If a state was going to take down a good candidate for partisan reasons— Illinois would definitely do it.
They did not. They ruled in favor of Cruz on the question you asked.
