Wow! That’s quite an odd claim. Trump would kill it off just by being nominated. But it seems to have survived 8 years of a Obama presidency.
Because Trump would be our guy. If we elect a liberal progressive then there would be no meaningful opposition to him. With Obama at least the Republicans would occasionally stand up to him. With Trump the democrats will be cheering his ever liberal and autocratic move. Our freedoms will be dead and it will all be due to angry madness that seems to have overtaken many GOP primary voters.
It's a bit more than odd. It's the kind of utterance that used to be reserved to young Victorian women on hot summer days during their time of the month. Seems to be typical of the Cruzty emotonal state.
