As I recall, W had 29% approval upon leaving office. Quite contrary to what Rush said today, W was/is not “revered” among the GOP and conservatives. In fact, he is quite hated. I wish it weren’t so, I kinda liked him, but it is. I gave up fighting this years ago.
We have had two GOP presidential candidates essentially run against Bush; all the Dems for eight years have run against him. That’s not the mark of a guy who is “revered.”
