We know what Cruz will do. He will sell the country down the drain and do what his hedge fund PAC donors want. That is really what ‘likely to happen’ is - or better, exactly what will happen.

Yeah, I guess that's why Ted's conservative voting record is always in the high 90's, huh? I'll take high 90's any day over someone who has been (and still is) all over the place on support or lack of support of conservative issues (like Planned Parenthood funding, for example!).

It all comes down to a political calculation on the part of voters about the likelihood of a candidate being consistently aligned with their values. I have a very high degree of confidence that Cruz will not abandon conservatism -- I don't have that same degree of confidence with others to be that consistent.

And, as a disclaimer, I do expect that Cruz will disappoint now and then, but I also am very confident that his conservatism consistency score will remain extremely high.
