Cruz said some of this garbage yesterday on Meet the Press.

Donald Trump has a conceal to carry and is a member of the NRA. His two sons are avid hunters and are also members of the NRA. He is always debating his liberal friends in New York City over gun control and says they always lose the debate, when he points out that an armed citizenry, would prevent more deaths. He says his first act as president is to undo the weapons ban on military bases and in every rally, he blasts the chipping away of our Second Amendment. And Ted Cruz says that if Donald Trump becomes president he would do away with the Second Amendment? Has Cruz lost his mind? This not only reeks of desperation, it is blatant lying and I am stunned that a man who claims to be a Christian, bears false witness like he does. I’ve got news for Ted Cruz, the Lord is more concerned about his witness for Christ, (provided he is a believer) than his ambition for elected office. If he considers Donald Trump to be as lost as he’s claiming, then why isn’t he setting a better example before Trump? It’s people like Ted Cruz that turn the lost away from having anything to do with Christianity.

Cruz is also putting out ads, claiming Trump is for Obamacare and gay marriage. By the way, Trump has trashed Obamacare since the beginning of his campaign. And I saw him in an interview, before he ever decided to run, saying he was not for gay marriage. I say these things as a born-again believer who greatly admired Ted Cruz for his conservative stand and had struggled with whether to get behind him or Trump. Today I am more determined than ever to see that Ted Cruz is defeated and Donald Trump elected President of the United States.

Cruz says Trump is not a strong enough conservative to use his political capital over a supreme court justice. That’s his analysis and I agree with it. There is nothing in Trump’s background that indicates he would fight for the type of justice to hold the line in the war for this country. If he becomes president, I sure hope I’m wrong.

And if Trump puts a liberal on the court and his pick chooses to go against the NRA? What does he do? Dick Nixon said he was against abortion, but after Roe v. Wade. he did not lift a finger to slow down the implementation of this new law. Saturday, Trump sounded like Nelson Rockefeller, except that Rockefeller never sold himself as hard as Trump does,

that said, I think that if Ginsberg were to drop dead next April, Trump probably would be more likely to put a conservative judge on the Court than Bush would. That would be simply a matter of necessity. But an appointment two years later? Who knows? I think he is prejudiced against the right, his politics is like his speeches, stream of consciousness.
