Cruz is trying to reach the marginal folks that have not been following the campaign. He is proving himself to be an unethical, immoral and un-Christian human being.
As far as campaigning is concerned, he is worse than the race-baiting democrats who always lie about republicans wanting to end Social Security. Cruz practically picked every hot-button issue on the table and lied about Trump's position.
Obviously Cruz can't sell what ideas he is for, so he simply lies about everyone else. He is willing to lose knowledgeable people who might vote for him in order to lesson the vote of Trump. Cruz is truly worse than Hillary and worse than Obama was in campaigning - truly a new low. His character is worse than Hillary. I wonder if voting for him over Hillary would really matter - if he ever got the nomination.
