Well, we do know they were friends and we also know that Scalia was close with Ginsburg.

Scalia knew that Obama would never nominate a Conservative, so the best he could hope for was someone who was smart.

AND someone he could reason with. The two who’ve gone up lately, Kagan and Sotomayor have surprised on a few (very few) things they’ve done. They’re liberals, but elections have consequences.

I’m not TOO sure I’d put credence on anything out of Axelrod, tho.

And you can bet your behind that if Scalia actually said that then Obama would NEVER have nominated her. Because that’s how Obama works.
