Jeb Bush Is Called On to Defend His Brother's and Father’s Choices of Justices (Souter, Roberts)
NY Times ^ | 2/14/16 | Ashley Parker

Who should replace Justice Antonin Scalia is the political question du jour.

But on Sunday, Jeb Bush was also asked to answer for his father's and brother's appointees to the Supreme Court - specifically David Souter, appointed by President George H. W. Bush, and Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., who was appointed by President George W. Bush and helped uphold President Obama's health care law.

"Well, the Souter choice was unfortunate," Mr. Bush said, speaking on CNN's "State of the Union." "He wandered off into the liberal camp for sure."

But he defended his brother's choice of Mr. Roberts.

You are so reaching here. Of course Trump is going to say nice things about his own sister. But appointing her to the Supreme Court is just silly and a non-starter. Also, she's be 79 years old in just a few weeks. Same age that Scalia was. But even if she was 20 years younger, no way he'd appoint her.

The lengths that the anti-Trumpers will go to. Unbelievable!

Yep, and I was one of them. I do believe the words "perfect choice" issued from my gob. It's sort of a painful thing to have to admit.

Jebius cannot say anything about nice about Souter after pretending outrage over eminent domain.. W Bush's administration was filled with the gay mafia, so it stands to reason Robert's would fill that promise... from the smokey backroom of Ken Mehlman...

TRUMP is the one who said it - it - and how he defended Planned Parenthood last night points to the kind of Judges he would be comfortable with - YOU Trumpeters are the ones who go to any lengths to excused and and all things he says and does.

You are in danger of being run off the rail - not being able to see the truth, what with those huge horse blinders on - -—

and or, right off the wharf, following your Piper....

The man is a sick jacka*s

WE cannot survive another 8 years of a narcissist - swallow that one. (OH, I know, NO ONE in the world knows more than your idol)

Roberts’ behavior has been sort of puzzling. To me, it
begs the question of what is Obama holding over his head
that seems to lead him around by the nose for whatever
Obama wants?

Well, this is why we don’t want another “compassionate conservative” like Bush/Kasich/Christie/Rubio. Conservatism IS inherently compassionate, as it maximizes individual liberty and opportunity. Go Cruz!

Only a person with the intellect of a Bush could describe Roberts as “conservative-”.

Who put Trumps sister on the bench?

And who was it that testified on behalf of Alito when he was confirmed?
