Thanks for the link (I think). My take is that we live in a different world now. A world that Senate Democrats gave us during the Bork nomination fiasco. The rules of the game are different. And as I said any senate majority leader worth his salt can drag this nominating process out beyond the end of Obama’s presidency.

CRUZ or LOSE!

The fate of the Republic literally hangs in the balance.

If Cruz fails, we'll soon find out how much losing can happen in a socialist democracy.

He frigging better and that goes for all the republicans in Congress.

That nasty Cruz guy will probably be standing alone. Again.

He really needs to learn how to cut deals.

The left was able to make propaganda hay out of Bork’s decision, which I’m only dimly remembering, in a case involving Breck shampoo and the health of female workers. Obama will be clever enough to put somebody forward who is a harder target to aim at.

Kagan and Sotomayor are both jokes. Particularly Sotomayor. She should have been rejected easily.

“His last one accomplished nothing.”

It let us know which side he is truly on.

Which side are you on?

You sure seem to be working hard to help the hail-Satan left, Planned Parenthood, NARAL, GOPe, and other anti-conservative groups that hate Cruz more than any other candidate.

Well, gee, a filibuster won’t be needed if 41 Pubs simply refuse to vote for cloture; would only be needed if enough “true conservative” Senators indicate they’ll be voting for cloture. In other words, if a filibuster is necessary, it would be only to filibuster other GOP “true conservative” Senators who are actually in obama’s camp.

Actually, even better, just keep the nomination locked up in the Judicial Committee and/or Mitch simply doesn’t bring the issue to the floor for a vote. It’s really, really, really simple for the Pubs to nuke this thing for a year IF THEY WANT TO!

If they want to are the key words right there.

Right. Forget the guy who talks the talk and walks the walk. Instead, let's rely on the GOPe to manage the process in our favor. Better yet, let's use this opportunity to bash Trump's only conservative opponent because winning is all that matters. Trump winning is more important than the balance of the USSC and Trump will save us because that's what he said he'll do.

The stupid, it burns.

“Doubling the court size today ensures liberal justice rule for decades.”

Good point. Perhaps term limits for all would limit the potential damage. Make it a term of 12 years then resignation and replacement.

Of course it is, but, as they say, if your aunt had balls, she'd be your uncle.

I don’t trust him to be able to convince others of his beliefs.

I'm sure siding with Linda and McCain will prevent the court from going wing nut left. They will absolutely supply the necessary leadership by reaching across the aisle. The stupid party marches on.

So in that absurd rant you basically didn’t even answer what I asked. You just felt some criticism of Cruz is just too verboten and went into the usual boilerplate of “Trump winning is more important than blah blah blah”.

I dont care who he is or how awesome you think he’s been.

I want him and these other clowns to earn their damn pay and STOP THIS. Cruz wants to Filibuster? Then he had damn well better do it for real, and Rubio and Rand Paul had better be in on it too. This has s*it to do with the race. This is about the existing government and those that comprise of it.

If Trump was a senator, then I would expect a real one from him as well. But he’s not, but that doesn’t exempt these guys running for president while on the clock from doing their day jobs.

You missed the “/s”. Every time Cruz says he’s going to do something, the True Believers say he stole the idea from Trump.

Spare us. Your first and only reaction to anything is to bash the only conservative opposing Trump regardless of the consequences. Every comment you make is about your guy winning. Your comments are devoid of any objectivity or balance. Your critical thinking is also severely lacking. Don't get your undies in a bunch simply because I point out the obvious. If Cruz doesn't filibuster Obummer's far left wacko selection, who will...your beloved GOPe?

Trump can't do a damned thing about it but that won't stop you from bashing the one guy who will. Your knee-jerk reaction is mindless at best.

"So you are in favor of Obama nominating the next SC justice. Got it."

He can and will nominate. That is an indisputable, Constitutional fact.

The question is whether the Republican Senate will confirm.

>>Oh don’t worry, Donald will stop the...wait...you mean he can’t actually DO anything to stop Obama, and you trumpets are relying on Cruz??

>>Wow that must sting.

You don’t seem to understand how our government works. Cruz and Rubio are sitting Senators. It is their Constitutional duty to approve a SC nominee...or to disapprove them.

Trump is a private citizen. He has as much control over this as you and I.

This may help you to understand the difference between a Senator and a private citizen: http://www.amazon.com/U-S-Constitution-Dummies-Michael-Arnheim/dp/0764587803/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1455474954&sr=8-3&keywords=civics+for+dummies

“The GOP leaders in the senate...”
There are no “GOP leaders” in the Senate. The leaders in the Senate belong to the UniParty and will do exactly what the corrupt regime tells them to do...nothing more, nothing less.
