Agree AB. I supported taking down Saddam after the first Gulf War. He had invaded Kuwait and used WMD against the Kurds and the Iranians. He set fire to the oil fields of Kuwait demonstrating how unhinged he was. He was funding terrorists and giving some of them like Abu Nidal sanctuary. And Saddam violated the truce agreement forcing us to maintain no-fly zones over Iraq at great cost and risk.

That said, I still support Trump. Bush did a poor job of defending his actions allowing the Dems to seize the narrative. And he should have been more outspoken when Obama boogied out of Iraq under the false pretext that a SOFA couldn't be reached. The fact that Bush now comes out of the witness protection program to campaign for his brother lowers his image in my mind.

Yes, that Bush and especially his fellow Republicans didn’t fight like the democrats do on such issues is one of the most politically exasperating moments of these past few decades.

Of course, the media gets to promote or not promote certain views, speeches and agendas, but that doesn’t mean the Republicans couldn’t have raised a much BIGGER fuss.

Where were they? Night after night, page after page on Abu Ghraib and Cindy Sheehan! I thought the Towers falling would be enough, but the peaceniks swallowed it hook, line and sinker. The democrats just exploited Sheehan and typical military SNAFUs to gain political points, and certainly not help the country in war time. And so many people fell for it. I can’t remember how many times I had to tell people that our Fallen in Iraq will not have died in vain if they just did not waver. They wavered.

Just like Vietnam. Couldn’t they stand WITH the country and leave politics at the shore?

After all, it’s was only about the future of the world and our country. Now we have ISIS, failed Arab Springs, and chaos. I lay it at the feet of the dems, as well as the Republicans for being mute.

Great post and that is a big part of the problem and how the dems even got power starting in 06. GW never stood up for himself. He kept letting the left blast him over and over and over and we paid the price in 08.
