Baloney most of us seniors have worked since our teens and paid money that we were told would be safely invested and should have been worth far more than the paltry month check most get. The entitlement should be that we are entitled to better treatment by the government. Very few retirees live that long after starting SS and many don’t make it that far.

If we got all the phoney disability claims off SS, it would greatly help. My children and grandchildren will be cheated as you point out. That angers me but they have warning to prepare for themselves.

Baloney? Yes you’ve paid in. You’ll collect more if you live a typical age. The numbers are quite astounding.

When social security was created the average person lived to about 66 at most. The average is much longer now.

Sorry, but it’s not what you know but what you can prove.

Not saying it’s a popular view, but it’s merely a promise, and we were lied to about SS.

It’s a tax, and therefore it’s government property now.

The saying “wish in one hand” come s to mind here.

I turn 65 in a few months, and I agree with you that SS disability is one of the biggest frauds I have ever seen. Eliminate the fraud in that program alone and SS would remain solvent.

I know several people who collect SS Disability and their only disability is that they are fat and lazy.
