When asked "What about your sister"... Trump replies.. "she is great"... "she is fantastic"... "I think she would be pronominal" ... "I THINK SHE WOULD BE ONE OF THE BEST"... " but I do have a sister who is very smart and a very good person". 15:45 in the video linked below..

Also notice he says he would not name a SCOTUS in the interview because it was bad form. I guess Trump flipped-flopped on not naming names, but it is understandable now due to being pressured about how he would nominate.
Anyway... I wanted it known that Trump thought his liberal pro-abortion sister would be "ONE OF THE BEST"... and that backs up what Cruz said.
And he said LAST NIGHT when asked by a reporter he WOULD NOT NOMINATE HIS SISTER!.....I think he said ...’because of conflict of interest’ ...but I will have to go back and review the tape
HOWEVER this probably won’t stop YOU and others like you repeating this over and over and over ad nauseam
HE SAID.....LAST NIGHT!!!!!!....HE WILL NOT NOMINATE HIS SISTER!
Trump said of his sister “It would be a conflict of interest”
Asking siblings to think badly of another is asking a bit much, but he won’t appoint her because of conflict of interest
“I wanted it known that Trump thought his liberal pro-abortion sister would be “ONE OF THE BEST”..”
Now do you really, really, actually, honestly think he would condemn his own sister, who is, by the way, safely secured away from the Supreme Court due to her age?
Boy, I would hate to be your sister
I bet if you have any siblings, they are so happy to know that you will never have their back.
Yet he names two super. Conservatives. Can’t win with you guys. Notice NO OTHER GOP candidate had a suggestion.
No you don't know what Trump thought...All you know is what he said...No one took Trump's statement seriously...He was speaking about his sister...We certainly wouldn't expect Trump or anyone to tell the world and his sister that she would make a lousy judge...
Trump has stated publicly numerous times since then that he would appoint judges in the vein of Clarence Thomas...But I'll bet that is one thing you DO know
Ooh! Guy says something nice about his sister - how scandalous!
I think she would be pronominal
**********
Copy and paste fail. What does that mean?
You are repeating a false meme
The case you mentioned both she and Alito voted exactly the same. They waited until the SCOTUS decided on an identical case from Nebrasca Then they followed the higher courts ruling. If you have a beef take it up with the SC. Not the lower justices that followed their ruling
She spoke for Alito at his Supreme Court hearing. They are still close friends
Get your facts straight
Not fair:
you can’t look at Trump’s record, what he says as a politician running for POTUS is all that matters. /sarc
For real, that answer was so coached / rehearsed.
We can shout this to the mountain tops LowOil, and those drinking the Trump KoolAid will not listen or believe it...sadly
Cruz has gone from first place on my list to second because of Trump's merits in getting something done. But between Cruz's own antics, those of Jeff Roe and those of his supporters here, I am beginning to think - WOW! does anything like that need to be anywhere near Washington DC. I had thought he would be a good AG or SC justice. I am convinced his name needs to be scratched for those.
I don’t recall him eversaying his sister would be good for the SCOTUS
Also on Cspan this morning He named examples of conservative judges. I Heard him. He also said that he would appoint someone who was exactly like Scalia, but that person would be hard to find.
Of course, Trump was going to praise his sister, as most brothers would (who actually like their sisters, at any rate). All those criticizing his positive remarks about his sister are making a heck of an assumption that he actually closely follows her legal career. I know very little about the details of my brothers’ jobs. I don’t know why Trump, who is not a lawyer, would be particularly familiar with her record on the bench—a record which by the way includes various conservative positions too (esp. on illegal immigrants), as does some of her speeches.
What he would know is that Reagan appointed her to the federal district court, and Clinton promoted her to the prestigious appellate court. I’m sure he is proud of that accomplishment.
