I agree, and he is a fighter. One question was answered for sure and that is that he will strongly defend what he believes is right. Rest assured, he will fight for his campaign promises once elected.
That was a reasonable thing to say of Reagan and of his latent attackers. Reagan was Teflon in office, while afterward, with his dementia, people, rather cruelly, wondered when he had started being affected (perhaps while in office?).

Exactly. The donor/lobbyist audience helps him. It gives him a chance to lash out at them. The audience there may boo, but the tv audience is saying, “Give ‘em hell Trump.”
Maybe it’s because I’m a Millennial, or close (born 1986) but in the places I’ve been, it was an uncommon but not unacceptable turn of phrase. So when I heard the speech, I didn’t even pay attention to “two Corinthians” until I saw people talking about it in FR.
What I took more issue with was how Trump seemed to be associating the liberty of the Gospel with American liberty, which is an error, but not an uncommon error, especially in American popular religion.
Ultimately it may be Cruz. He is a globalist after all.
Cruz lied about the hidden business VAT. It is an ‘in the weeds’ issue that Trump finds unnecessary to dwell on, but it’s there. Cruz has a VAT tax in his plan and, as usual, he is a stone faced liar. What is also in Cruz’s tax plan - that the democrats will kill him on - is that Cruz ends business contributions to Social Security. It will kill him.

There WERE no WMD’s, and later Bush came up with a completely different rationale for invading Iraq, the so-called and anti-American “Bush Doctrine” which disappeared as quickly as it was invented.
A VAT would be a disaster. I did not know Cruz was for that. Cruz only talks about a flat income tax that I know of. Where is he saying he’s for this ill-conceived national sales tax (ill-conceived because you first have to repeal the 16th Amendment or sooner or later you’ll have BOTH a national sales tax AND and income tax).
And even if the 16th Amendment was miraculously repealed, a VAT would be a disaster.
