I would hope that if we had a president we liked right now that he would be prepared to nominate someone after a decent interval. If we were only a month away from an election, that might be too short time-wise, but we’re talking a little over 8 months at this point. It’s unrealistic to expect any president to not at least try to fill such an important position as soon as possible.

The Senate should not hold confirmation hearings in an election year. That said, I know old Mitch will give Obama everything he wants and the country loses BIGTIME!

Many Trump fans went over to their thread for debate tonight. Last part of debate Cruz fans showed up and bashed Trump and Trump supporters. Mods could not keep up and locked thread. I was very sad by that behavior. Why go over there and cause trouble. Only makes Trump supporters less likely to unite behind Cruz if he is nominee.

Trump only delivers what his ‘fans’ require......the ‘voters’ want more than a blow-horn as the election draws near......it’s fine to give people a voice....but he’s running for President which means he needs to be able to defend his positions...not just yell and throw out accusations.....He has difficulty framing clear sentences normally, but when he is critiqued he looses himself in his own emotions....we saw this tonight. Perhaps that was enough for his fans....it’s not for the voters.
